Why is it free?
Fair question. We are Craft & Code, a small studio in North Texas that builds websites and sets up tools for small businesses. This is how we meet good people. Someone from our team may check in once after you sign up to see how it's going. If you ever want help with the bigger stuff, we hope you will call us. If you do not, Handshake stays free.
Your customers are yours.
We never sell your requests, share them, or contact your customers. Download everything any time. Some lead sites sell the same customer to three shops. We are not one of them. And if we ever stop running Handshake, you get 90 days' notice and a full export.
What Handshake does not do yet.
Payments, scheduling, dispatch, invoicing. When you are ready for those, we will help you pick the right software or set it up for you.

Is it actually free?
Yes. Unlimited price requests and up to 25 quotes a month, for as long as Handshake exists. No card to sign up, and nothing quietly turns into a bill.
What happens after 25 quotes?
Price requests keep coming in, and you can still call or text people back. New quotes wait until the 1st of the month. Pro, with unlimited quotes, is coming later.
Do I have to use the price button?
No. Plenty of shops only want quotes, and that works fine on its own. Build a quote on your phone, send it, and they sign. Add the button whenever you want, or never.
Do I need a website?
No. Put your price link on your Google listing or Facebook page, or print the QR code for the truck. You can also quote walk-ins and phone calls straight from your phone.
Do I have to show my prices?
No. Hide them and the price button becomes a short request form instead. Plenty of jobs are too different to price online, and that is fine.
Can customers pay me through it?
Not through Handshake. When they sign, you get an alert, and you take payment however you already do. Handshake never touches the money.
Does it do invoices or scheduling?
Not yet. For now it does requests and quotes, and does them well. Need more today? We will help you pick the right software or set it up for you. That is our day job.
Who sees my customers?
You and the people you add. We do not sell your requests, share them, or contact your customers. Ever.
Can I leave?
Any time. Tap Export and we email you a zip of every request, quote, customer and signed PDF. If we ever shut it down, you get 90 days of notice first.
